WaterAid Camel seen at Farmoor

April 15, 2018

OSC's Steve Heeks bumped into the humps and enquired why they were running around Farmoor. Deena McKinney, who is Thames Water's Senior Education Advisor, replied"

"Myself and James Wood are doing the London Marathon in Humphrey on 22 April, there are six other runners from Thames Water also running, all rising vital funds for WaterAid.  Farmoor Reservoir was a great location to have a training session, especially with the cool breeze off the water, I hope we didn’t frighten the fish!  The back legs are shorter and slower than the front legs which means I get the hump…

WaterAid is Thames Water’s main charity which we’ve been supporting for over 35 years, the aim is to provide clean drinking water and safe sanitation to everyone who needs it, we are current campaign is supporting projects in two town in Malawi."
