This Saturday is the last Novice/ Casual Racing of the season.
This year we’ve had some fantastic weather and also brilliant racing. I know several of you have had wanted to attend, but for one reason or another you’ve not been able to come along so it would be lovely to see you.
The aim of the series is to give people the chance to get out on the water and have fun with a group of liked minded sailors, whatever their ability. This season we’ve been inundated with lots of casual racers, but it would be fantastic to see a few more novices, especially any new members where you could practice your newly acquired skills.
My prize fund is still full and all that chocolate and wine will have to go. I’m sure you family crews could certainly help me get rid of all those chocolate bars!!
The overall series is coming to an exciting conclusion, with the Lasers of Roger, Kevin and Dan pursuing Tess and David in their Vision. Jess is also in with a chance; anything could happen in the last few races and it could all come down to the discards. Richard and Emma seem to have the Novices sewn up, unless you know different!!
Even if you don’t fancy racing the weather looks fantastic and you could get on the water in either your own boat or hire a club one.
I look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
